Jim Furyk 33/1 (Bet365 & BetBright) 2.5 pts EW
Jim having been off with injury for 9 months, has come back fresh and has already had some real eye catching results, non more notable that his runners up finish at the US Open, he comes to Firestone, a venue where his accuracy off the tee has served him well in the past, in good form, and no doubt eager to put his name in the Ryder Cup mixer.
NB – Brooks Koepka 20/1 (Ladbrokes, PaddyPower & Coral) 1.5 pts EW
IWAC – Hideki Matsuyama 35/1 (BetFred & StanJames) 1 pt EW
French Open (European Tour) – 10 pts outlay NAP –
Andy Sullivan 33/1 (Bet365 & PaddyPower) 2.5 pts EW
I have a similar thought process here with Andy as I have with the above, and that is the Ryder Cup, after a ground breaking season last year with three wins, Andy has failed to build on that so far this season, and thus has found himself sliding precariously down the Ryder Cup qualification tables. There have been enough signs over recent weeks for me to believe that he puts his name firmly back into contention for Ryder Cup selection this week, with the bit between his teeth and a point to prove.
NB – Rafael Cabrera Bello 28/1 (Bet365, Coral & SkyBet) 1.5 pts
EW IWAC – Matthew Fitzpatrick 28/1 (BetVictor & StanJames) 1 pt EW
Cambia Portland Classic (LPGA Tour) – 10 pts outlay
NAP – Stacy Lewis 11/1 (StanJames) 2.5 pts EW
Stacy has found herself somewhat left behind in the world of ladies golf with the influx of Asian superstars, and his on her longest run without a victory for a long long time! She will not find an easier event than this weeks Cambia Portland Classic to break that streak! A large handful of the ladies at the top of the charts this year are having a well earned week off, and the likes of Lydia Ko, Amy Yang, Lexi Thompson and Inbee Park all sit it out this week; leaving the door wide open for Stacy Lewis, still ranked number 9 in the world herself, to be left holding the trophy come Sunday evening.
NB – Brooke M Henderson 7/1 (StanJames) 1.5 pts EW
IWAC – Anna Nordqvist 9/1 (Bet365 & Ladbrokes) 1 pt EW
This Week’s Outlay – 30 pts
