Create A Dream Wins for Wesley Ward

Create A Dream provided American trainer Wesley Ward with another winner at Ascot when showing plenty of speed from the front in the Sodexo Conditions Stakes.
After enjoying many successful raids to the track during in recent years during the Royal meeting, Ward was once again on target after the two-year-old made a successful debut.
Fast out of the stalls the 5-1 shot was challenged on two fronts late on in the five-furlong contest, before gamely holding on to victory by a short head.
The Last Lion finished second past the post but was placed third following a stewards' enquiry, with Deningy promoted to second after originally finishing third - The Lat Lion's jockey Franny Norton was suspended for four days, May 11-13 inclusive and May 15.
Winning jockey Jose Valdiva Jnr said: "Wesley Ward knows his horses well and which ones will handle the trip and he is exceptionally good with two-year-old fillies.
"In the final furlong she looked around at the crowd, but she stayed on very well. The ground was the only concern and he said if there was any more (rain) he could possibly scratch her.
"Luckily for me there wasn't and it was fast enough. I think she will improve from this run. To have a winner here is wonderful."
Ward said: "I was at Doncaster (Brocklesby Stakes won by The Last Lion when Create A Dream was a non-runner) and was hugely impressed with The Last Lion, so to beat him - we're excited.
"I knew what we had, everything I'd seen early on warranted going over to England and she's come through.
"She won't run again before Royal Ascot, that was all we needed and unlike my previous runners, she's now got experience of the track.
"My thinking is she'll go for the Albany over six furlongs as I've got another filly, Lady Aurelia, for the Queen Mary. She's by Scat Daddy, who has had Royal Ascot winners, and she broke the track record when she worked on grass.
"She's definitely quicker than Create A Dream, but whether she's better remains to be seen. There's no point running them in the same race, divide and conquer I say!
"In Manton we've been breezing Create A Dream behind horses and letting her catch them so she doesn't have to lead."
