World Cup of Darts - England Outright

England will be looking to defend their title as Adrian Lewis and Phil

Taylor teams up again in what appears to be the easiest route to the

final based on form and seeding.

The seeding/draw goes thus:

First Round Draw & Tournament Draw Bracket

England (1) Spain

Czech Republic v China

Austria (8) v Italy

South Africa v Singapore

Wales (5) v Finland

Greece v Canada
Northern Ireland (4) v Japan
Republic of Ireland v Hong Kong
Scotland (2) v New Zealand
Norway v Gibraltar
Belgium (7) v Poland
Hungary v Thailand
Australia (6) v Germany
Denmark v Sweden
Netherlands (3) v Russia
USA v Philippines

The opening round will test each nations teamwork ability with the best of nine legs. We have seen England stumble once in this format, where the first year their opener against Spain were the side to beat then James Wade and Phil Taylor. Adrian and Phil play more like a team with both motivating each other to success. I will point out the choices if they manage to take on Austria will be deciding who to play Mensur, and Taylor for me would be the right player to nominate in my opinion.

The team of Brendan Dolan and Daryl Gurney could be a test, although Dolan has steadily fallen down the rankings. I fully expect England to make the final, and at 9/4 has the easier route than Netherlands at 13/8 and Scotland at 5/1.

Taylor has been playing better recently and the combination of Lewis, who has too much respect for Taylor could well be the winning formula. With Scotland and Netherlands expected to meet in the semi-finals there is little to justify Holland at 13/8 when 5/1 Scotland could pip them like they did twelve months prior.

England to make the final are 8/13 so if England does make the final, which we predict, a lay off in the exchange may be the clever trade for punters to consider! England is available at 9/4 with Bwin, Boylesports, Stan James and Marathonbet Recommendation

England to win the World Cup - 9/4

Another winner £16.25 in the pocket of our sports writer. Easy money.
