My Blog Post Of The Week: Are You Fit Enough To Climb The 38 Steps?

First a quick reminder of what the ‘Blog Post Of The Week’ award is all about:

The idea is simple: Every time I find a blog post (new or old) that I think will add value for my readers, I will bookmark it and put it on the list to be my: Blog Post of the Week.

I will then write a post similar to this one explaining why I have decided on that particular weeks post.

I will also link to the post from my blog post of the week icon on the top of my side bar

My blog post of the week award will be posted every Monday.

For a full list of previous winners visit my ‘Blog Post Of The Week’ Page.

Now on to the main event; The winner of my  ‘Blog post of the week’ award this week goes to:

From the Fire Dave Trading Betfair With Bet Angel  blog.

Although Dave stopped updating his blog in October 2010 and although the original poster was referring to commodity trading, this post has left a lasting impression on me with regards to my approach to the sports speculation markets.

To me the 38 steps cover all of the stages so well and as I read through them I can see so much of myself in the behaviour described (unfortunately mostly in the bottom half of the steps)

I also think that the 38 steps are extremely motivational because if the majority of the lower steps ring true to my personal experience, which they do, then there is a good chance that the top three steps could also be true, which in my opinion provides a fantastic goal for my sports speculation and beyond....

Just in case you have forgotten what the last three steps, here they are:

“36. We stop thinking and allow our rules to trade for us (trading becomes boring, but successful) and our trading account continues to grow as we increase our contract size.

37. We are making more money than we ever dreamed possible.

38. We go on with our lives and accomplish many of the goals we had always dreamed of.”

I hope you have enjoyed this post.

Stay Patient
