My Blog Post Award: He ‘Played It Safe’ For a Year!

First a quick reminder of what the ‘Blog Post Award’ is all about:

The idea is simple: Every time I find a blog post (new or old) that I think will add value for my readers, I will bookmark it and put it on my list to win the: Blog Post Award.

I will then write a post similar to this one explaining why I have decided on that particular post.

I will also link to the post from my blog post Award icon situated near the top of my side bar

For a full list of previous winners visit my ‘Blog Post Award ’ Page.

Now on to the main event; The winner of my  ‘Blog post Award’  is from the excellent ‘Playing It Safe’ blog and is called:

Birthday Blog Winner Please

My reasons for choosing the above post are contained in the following four paragraphs:

I have managed to update and maintain my blog most days and it has really helped with my discipline and really helped me stop chasing. It has been great keeping daily records and looking at my betting from a totally different angle. There was a time not so long ago when I was totally obsessed and could not walk away from the various forums and form of horses. My head was totally gone, if I had a good day even with following services and having a good run I would try and be greedy and chase all night. Sometimes it would work out well but it wasn't long before I was finding myself in trouble my cash away and also effecting my family life and work....

I am pleased to say my new strategy has worked for me, it has not been easy and has tested my patience and discipline to the maximum at times but as it has been proven on here with PATIENCE and a LONGTERM strategy profit can be made from horse racing...

I am really proud of where I am at the moment and looking forward to the next year of blogging and can get to the Cheltenham Festival well head with it all to play for...

I really hope some of the readers of this blog have enjoyed my ramblings of my betting life and hope it has added some value and also self discipline to people who similar to me and don’t have a huge betting bank and are trying to make some extra income to bring a little bit of happiness to their life from the sport we love......”

Those four paragraphs show so much about the quality of the author and his desire to succeed and help others along the way.  He opens his heart in such a way that it does not come across as bragging about his undoubted success, but as a message of hope for all of the other punters out there who feel like they have lost their way.

I can totally relate to this first paragraph where he bears his sole about the frustrations that this pastime can bring to bear, as I to have been a victim of just those sorts of feelings in the past.

It is my view that his emphasis on patience, discipline and a long term view hold the key to his fantastic change of fortune, as I believe that they are the cornerstones of any profitable sports speculators make up.  I also believe that by putting his heart and soul into developing the aforementioned key qualities, he has transformed his results and that the skills he has learned are transferable, so they should add value to every aspect of his life.

As you can see, I am really impressed with the ‘playing it safe’ blog and I would advise anyone wanting to learn how to become profitable at this game to have a look around and I hope to enjoy reading the blog for many years to come.

I hope you have enjoyed this post

Stay Patient
