With arguably some of the best Sawgrass form in modern times the 2008 Player’s Champion SERGIO GARCIA arrives for this year’s playing in great shape, with 5 top 20s under his belt in just 8 starts this season; including runners-up finish to Adam Scott at the Honda earlier in the year. TPC Sawgrass has a rich history for being regarded as the seasons 5thMajor, and as such usually throws up some good champions, with top tee to green games; with this in mind, for the 2016 season to date SERGIO GARCIA is ranked 4th in greens hit in regulation and 6th in overall strokes gain from tee to green, both statistics I feel will prove vital to him in making yet a bold bid for the title this week. With a tied 2nd last year, a 3rd in 2014 and a tied 8th in 2013, TPC Sawgrass really does bring out the best in SERGIO GARCIA and is sure to be a venue for both him and his game to feel comfortable with.
